Export-Import Bank of the U.S. Chair Reta Jo Lewis to Travel to Georgia to Address Investing in America: Leveraging Federal Resources to Shape America’s Economic Future Along with Administration Officials
Atlanta, GA – Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) President and Chair Reta Jo Lewis will travel to Atlanta on Tuesday, October 22 – Wednesday, October 23. On Tuesday, Chair Lewis will address the 2024 National Minority Supplier Development Council’s (NMSDC) Annual Conference & Exchange. During the visit to her home state, Chair Lewis will discuss how EXIM financing, including new, dedicated tools, can help Georgia businesses grow through exporting.
During the annual conference, Chair Lewis will also participate in a main-stage panel titled, “Investing in America: Leveraging Federal Resources to Shape America’s Economic Future,” alongside Don Graves, Deputy Secretary, U.S. Department of Commerce, and Dilawar Syed, Deputy Administrator, U.S. Small Business Administration. The panel discussion will be moderated by Stephen K. Benjamin, Assistant to the President of the United States, Senior Advisor to the President and Director of Public Engagement.
On Wednesday, Chair Lewis will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the NMSDC to promote the growth and global competitiveness of minority-owned businesses with the support of EXIM’s Minority- and Women-Owned Business team. This strategic partnership aims to enhance opportunities for minority businesses by expanding access to EXIM financing programs, fostering economic collaboration, facilitating U.S. exports and supporting American jobs through financing solutions tailored to global markets.
