Cheryl Crispen, a communications executive with wide-ranging public and private sector experience, has been named vice president of communications at the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank), Ex-Im Bank Chairman John E. Robson announced Wednesday.

Crispen comes to Ex-Im Bank from JPMorgan Chase, where she was vice president of global marketing and communications. Before that she was vice president of global communications for The Estee Lauder Companies, Inc.

In 1992 Crispen directed research and advertising for the Bush-Quayle campaign. She served during 1991-1992 as director of public affairs for the U.S. Commerce Department's International Trade Administration, and before that as chief spokesperson on domestic finance at the U.S. Treasury Department.

In the latter half of the 1980s Crispen was an account executive at Hill and Knowlton Public Affairs Worldwide. She worked in the press office of the Reagan-Bush campaign in 1984.

Crispen holds Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in international economic affairs and in political science.

Ex-Im Bank is an independent U.S. government agency that helps finance the sale of U.S. exports primarily to emerging markets throughout the world, by providing loans, guarantees, and insurance. Ex-Im Bank supported $15.5 billion in U.S. exports in fiscal year 2000.
