Isabel Galdiz

Isabel O. Galdiz, Vice President, International Relations Division, Export-Import Bank of the United States. Ms. Galdiz is a leading expert on export credit policy matters. Having joined the Export-Import Bank of the United States in 1992, she has spent the intervening years supporting, and ultimately leading, US EXIM negotiations on a range of export credit topics including energy finance, content, anti-corruption and environmental issues. Also, as Chairperson of the US EXIM Co-financing Task Force, she concluded over a dozen agreements with foreign ECAs that were used to support billions of dollars of US exports.
In her current position, Ms. Galdiz manages US EXIM international engagement across a spectrum of institutions, including OECD, Berne Union, G7/G12/G20 and, of late, the International Working Group on export financing, aimed at including China and other non-OECD export credit providers within a multilateral framework governing the provision of export credits.
Ms. Galdiz earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from la Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina in 1991. In 1997, she earned a Master of Arts in International Finance and Transactions from the School of Public Policy, George Mason University. Ms. Galdiz lives in Arlington, Virginia, where she resides with her husband and their five children.
